Officer's BreakfastCome down to the Las Vegas Elks Lodge on the last Sunday of the month for Breakfast!! The officers will be cooking a wonderful breakfast for all, to help raise money for their national presentation. Time 8 am to 11 am. Come hungry! PER's STEAK FRYCome join us on the last Friday of each month at 6PM. Steaks cooked to order, fried chicken and baked fish Your choice of potato, salads and dessert. Aways live music in the lounge.

Cal Potter I love it when the decision for Elk of the month is easy. It seems like every letter I write, almost every meeting and lodge function I attend, I am constantly seeing and thanking the same individual. Cal Potter, you are my Elk of the Month for September. This award seems so small compared to the amount of gratitude owed to you. Cal is very active and was key to getting our PER association back up and running strong again. He and his committee have done an absolutely amazing job with membership in our lodge. Over 30 new members were brought in last month alone. That is truly spectacular compared to some lodges that don’t generate that kind of membership in a year. We are not only increasing membership, but members that are eager to get involved and participate. You will see Cal at every PER steak fry, serving food, conducting the raffle, or doing whatever is asked of him as the steak fry is one of the last true income generating events for our lodge. Cal and his law firm donate countless hours of pro-bono time to our lodge. Their valuable advice and support saves this lodge thousands of dollars each year. Not to mention, anyone who has questions on the rules and regulations of Elkdom can rely on Cal to offer support, knowledge, and advice. Summers are tough as everyone goes on vacation but Cal has always answered the call for me to serve as a chair officer when a current officer could not be there. He has been in three chairs so far this year to help us out. Cal volunteered his time and sponsorship for Helldorado to once again help us achieve success with that event and he and his committee members are working on the Frontier Days run which will benefit our lodge and I am assuming help acquiring new members. I could continue on and on, but I believe my point is made. Cal Potter is a great Elk and a huge asset to our lodge. On behalf of our membership, as well as me, we greatly appreciate all of your continued support and efforts. I believe our lodge is turning the corner that we all know is necessary and thanks to Elks like you, this corner has been a little easier. Elkdom will never die with Elks like you.
